To the younger me, my mother used to say, you would make a good negotiator . Because when my parents fought over silly things, I used to listen to both the sides and make each other understand what they felt. At that age, negotiator was a word difficult to digest. It was later in a seminar conducted by Adv. Sreelal Warrior [who was an international Mediator] that I learnt more on mediation as a career and how well it saves time and makes people s life easier. My experiences during internship at district court gave me insights on the wastage of time and effort at the procedural formalities in Courts. A finding that disputes between relatives over a small portion of land take years to get settled was very disturbing. This made me realize how important it is to spread awareness about mediation and its benefits. I appreciate the efforts of WBNUJS and would like to take part in the campaign and extend my sincere contributions for the same. As part of it I would conduct mediation drives in parts of Ernakulam District at Vyttila, Kalamassery, Chakkaraparmbu, Eroor, Edappaly , Kakkanad, Fort Kochi, Vennala , high Court Junction. And in parts of Kottayam District ettumanoor, Attirampuzha and Pala. Apart from these, I believe that upon being a musician I can spread awareness through music and short films. This initiative will indeed open the minds of our people. I sincerely wish the campaign all success.
