I'm Aakaansha Arya, completed my first year as a BBALLB student from Bennett University. During my first year itself as a law student, I've worked with LexisNexis, interned in People s Union for Civil Liberties, volunteering in CRY- NGO. I am currently interning in IBJ- International Brigade to Justice headed by Advocate Ajay Verma as a result of which I've been able to recognise the vast problem of legal aid issues in India and hence want to contribute in solving the issue through ADR, which mediation is a part of, by educating people about such alternatives for their better convenience. I've always aspired to pursue a career in arbitration and mediation. I am also a member of the core team of the Legal Aid Society in my University. Working ProBono is something I've always wanted to do.
While being a part of your esteemed organisation, I will be able to head towards a vision I have always envisioned. I would conduct mediation drives mainly in Jantar Mantar, near India Gate and Jama Masjid, these are the places where people are most crowded at. Jantar Mantar because it has always been a favourable place to conduct agitations, India Gate since, people often crowded near the Delhi High Court with their cases are in dire need to know about other alternatives.
