Hon'ble Supreme Court Justice Madan Lokur

Hon'ble Justice Madan Lokur, Member, MCPC), Supreme Court of India, New Delhi extended his support to the Indian Mediation Week. He was extremely impressed by the initiative taken by NUJS students of conducting these mediation awareness drives and promoting access to justice by going to the streets. He also encouraged students from other National Law Universities to conduct similar awareness drives in their respective states, so that we can promote amicable resolution of disputes around the country. It was our honor to have him on board in capacity of the chief mentor of this event.

 

Hon'ble Justice Biswanath Somadder, Calcutta High Court

Hon'ble Justice Biswanath Somadder, Chairperson of Mediation and Conciliation Committee, High Court, Kolkata is spear-heading the mediation movement in West Bengal. He is responsible for conceptualizing mediation weeks in different parts of West Bengal. He graced the university with his presence in the closing ceremony of Indian Mediation Week and engaged with students on various aspect of mediation. We are extremely grateful to him for showing his support for this first nationwide campaign on mediation.
